Introduction to the School

The School of Information Technology fully implements the Party's education policies and upholds a student-centered educational philosophy, firmly adhering to the fundamental mission of fostering virtue and cultivating talent. The school actively promotes deep integration between industry and education, partnering with renowned companies such as Huawei Cloud Computing Technology Co., Ltd. and Shandong New Vision Digital Technology Co, Ltd. to establish the Xinchuang Industrial College. Currently, the school offers two major groups—Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science—encompassing a total of seven majors, with 2,343 students enrolled.

Faculty

The School of Information Technology has assembled a highly qualified teaching team, with a balanced composition of titles and age groups, comprising expert professors and "dual-qualified" instructors with industry experience. The school employs nearly 60 full-time and part-time faculty members, including 7 program leaders and 12 with senior titles, while 24 hold intermediate-level titles. Ninety percent of the faculty hold postgraduate degrees, and 60% have over two years of industry experience. The core teaching staff are graduates of prestigious domestic and international universities, such as the University of Science and Technology of China, Harbin Institute of Technology, Shandong University, Hong Kong Baptist University, Monash University (Australia), Ocean University of China, Hefei University of Technology, and Shandong Normal University. The practical training faculty mainly consists of technical engineers from companies like Huawei, ZTE Collaboration, Shandong New Vision, and China Unicom Yantai Branch. Each academic year, around 20 professional lectures and practical training sessions are conducted by these experts.
