Recently, the National College Students' Advanced Mapping Technology and Product Information Modeling Innovation Competition was successfully concluded in Guizhou University. Under the guidance of Chen Xiaotao, Wang Yujing, Yang Kai and Han Shuangling, Gao Guoyan, a student from the School of Intelligent Manufacturing, won the "third prize" in the individual competition unit of the mechanical category.

The National College Students' Advanced Mapping Technology and Product Information Modeling Innovation Competition is the highest-level national competition for graphics courses jointly sponsored by the Teaching Steering Committee of Engineering Graphics Courses in Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of Education, the Graphics Technology Professional Committee of the Chinese Graphics Society and the Product Information Modeling Professional Committee of the Chinese Graphics Society, and was included in the national general university discipline competition ranking by the Chinese Association of Higher Education in 2018. In July 2024, a total of 16,294 students from 895 colleges and universities across the country will compete in the national finals at Guizhou University and other offline venues.

Since the launch of the "National College Students' Advanced Mapping Technology and Product Information Modeling Innovation Competition" in May 2024, our school has attached great importance to the organization of the competition, and cultivated students' innovation and entrepreneurship ability and teamwork spirit through the form of promoting learning, teaching and innovation through competition, and giving full play to the promotion role of science and technology competition as the second classroom. In the future, our school will continue to improve the education and training system, and cultivate comprehensive application-oriented talents with both innovation and practice, quality and ability.
