On March 24, the Fourth Standing Council of the Fifth Session of the Shandong Society of Gerontology and Geriatrics and the 2023 Annual Meeting was held in Jinan. Liu Cuilan, the president of our school, was invited to attend the meeting as the executive director of the society and the chairman of the professional committee of the senior service talent training of the society, and the heads of relevant departments of the school accompanied the participants to study.

Professor Du Peng, former vice president of Chinese University, delivered a keynote report on "Chinese Population Aging Trend and Key Issues in Aging Research" at the academic forum. The report expounds the current phenomenon of population aging in China with intuitive data, and makes a detailed interpretation of the latest relevant national policies and academic research.

At the meeting, President Liu Cuilan conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges with the participating leaders and experts on supporting the construction of our school's smart health care major, school-enterprise cooperation, and hosting the annual meeting of the special committee, which provided useful guidance for the construction of our school's smart health care professional group, the cultivation of elderly service talents, and the development of relevant scientific research and social services. Zhao Qing, Dean of the School of Wisdom and Health Care of our university, was awarded the honorary title of "Outstanding Grassroots Worker" of the Society.
